Broiled Grapefruit

- grapefruit[s]
- a couple teaspoons of ginger and/or cinnamon
- honey
- banana or strawberry slices, optional
- brown sugar, optional
- Cut grapefruit[s] in half.
- Using a paring knife, segment the grapefruit so it will be easier to spoon out after cooking.
- Sprinkle grapefruit with ground ginger and/or cinnamon.
- Drizzle honey on grapefruit.
- Add banana or strawberry slices on top [optional]
- Broil for 3-5 minutes, or until grapefruit is slightly browned.
For a sweeter taste, add brown sugar. Yellow grapefruit tends to be more sour than ruby red grapefruit.
